How To Find Leak On Air Lift Air Helper Springs On a 2006 Toyota Tundra 4 Wheel Drive

Question:

I have an airlift on my 2006 tundra 4wd that I use while towing a horse trailer. Suddenly the airlift gauge shows zero 24hours after pressurizing I normally keep it around 35-40 psi. So Im assuming i have a leak. Can this be repaired?

First you will need to determine what failed and is not allowing your Air Lift Ride Control Air Helper Springs # AL59530 to stay inflated. You could have a leak in the springs, the air line, or a compressor/Schrader valve depending on how you fill your springs. The leak could also be inside one of the fittings. You should be able to hear the air leaking when you try to inflate the springs. You can also use some soapy water to spray on the system to see where bubbles are coming out if its only a small leak. The springs do have a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects if you see the springs are leaking and it was not caused by road debris or improper installation.
