Question:
I drive a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation with the max trailering package. My camper is a 2022 Coachmen Freedom Express 252RBS. I need a backup camera, and I believe this camper is prewired for the Voyager WiSight 2.0 Wireless Backup Camera ASA37YR. Do I need this adapter, and if so: 1-Why? 2-How does it connect? Thanks in advance!

The reason why you would need the # VGR74VR filter to use the # ASA37YR is because your 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 will have pulse width modulation (PWM). This means it won't send consistent power back to the camera and you're going to lose the signal. The filter takes care of that so your camera will function properly.
Since it sounds like you're already prewired you have the CEC connector and you can plug this in line with the existing Voyager wiring. You will need to remove the plate and plug this in at the back. Once you install the filter you can add on your camera. If you don't have the CEC connector you will need the # VGR64VR instead.
We don't have an installation video for the plug and play version but I attached an installation video for the splice in filter along with the camera below for your reference.
