How many inches from the hitch to the closed tailgate on a 2021 silverado 3500 short bed?

I don't have an exact measurement but the jaws of the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # BWRVK3775 are going to sit right above the axle. The slider base has 12" of travel so that plus about an inch for the rest of the base body would give you roughly 13" from the axle. If you measure from the axle to the end of the bed then subtract 13" you'll have the distance you're looking for.
