Question:

I have 2 Thule Hullavators that I want to carry on my car. I need a crossbar system compatible with the Hullavators and with my 2019 Jeep Cherokee raised rails and is 74 inches wide. Help. What can you suggest that will work?

I wish I could give you what you wanted but we get this question a lot and the answer is always the same, we don't recommend using two Thule Hulavator Kayak Carriers part # TH898 on the same roof. This has to do with both capacity requirements and crossbar space. The carrier weighs 40 lbs and when you combine that with the weight of the kayaks, you're very likely over the capacity of your roof (usually 165 lbs). The carrier also requires 28-1/2" of clearance so you when you double that, you'll be at or close to the vehicle limit which is usually no further than the side mirrors. I typically recommend 1 Hullavator and 1 Thule Hull-A-Port Aero Kayak Roof Rack part # TH849000.

The Curt Roof Rack for Raised Side Rails part # C18118 is a great cost effective option for everything above.
