Is The Curt BallMount # D210 Rated High Enough To Haul 2 E-Bikes And Tow an 1,800lb Trailer

Question:

With a Curt #D210 Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2inch Receiver can I have my 2 E bikes and rack weighing 150 pounds and also tow my 1,800 pound trailer? Also do I add the weight of the E bikes and rack to the tongue weight of the trailer for a total tongue weight against the maximum for the hitch on my car?

Yes, any weight added to the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount # D210 will need to be considered towards your tongue weight. We typically figure around 10-15% of the trailer's GTW for tongue weight so you'd have roughly 200lbs plus the 150lbs from the bikes/rack for a rough total of 350lbs. The Curt # D210 has a tongue weight capacity of 750lbs so you well within its capacity, but you should still check the capacity of your Santa Fe and the trailer hitch's capacity to ensure you're not overloading the vehicle.
