Question:

I unfortunately am seeking this a bit late - after my tailgate was stolen when parked in my driveway. It is getting replace, but I have a 2010 F150 King Ranch. The tailgate includes the step kit and backup camera. My question is whether this kit will fit and work with those to additional items in the tailgate. If not, I would forego the step kit to get a a power lock. I think the other questions are answered, but basically I am looking for a solution that works with my key fob so I dont have to lock/unlock separately.

I spoke with my contact at Pop and Lock and verified that the Custom Tailgate Lock, # PAL8200, will work with your 2010 Ford F-150 King Ranch with the step kit and backup camera. This lock attaches to the tailgate handle and the extra features will not interfere. Keep in mind, this lock was designed to work with models without the manual tailgate lock in place.

If your F-150 has the manual (keyed) tailgate lock, then you will want the Custom Tailgate Lock, # PAL8250. Both of these locks will work with your key fob because they will splice into the wiring for the trucks power locks.
