Troubleshooting Trailer Running Light Circuit Not Active on 7-Way of 2022 Ford F-350

Question:

for part #A10-7007 5th Wheel Harness, will it work with a 2022 Ford 350? We had a customer indicate that the trailer lights work when he just has the camper, but when he attaches a boat with the factory plug then the trailer lights don’t work. Does this make sense? Any suggestions?

The Mighty Cord 5th Wheel Gooseneck Adapter part # A10-7007 that you referenced is a fit for the 2022 Ford F-350. Most likely the problem is on the boat trailer wiring connector and is just some corrosion on the pins of the trailer's 7-way. The problem would not be the Mighty Cord. Typically taking some sandpaper to the pins to clean them off fixes the problem. Otherwise you'd want to go over the wiring of the circuit on the trailer looking for any cuts or exposed wire and fix as needed.

Also make sure the lights are grounded properly. They may ground through their hardware or they may run wire from the light to the frame of the trailer. If the trailer is aluminum try running a jumper wire from the ground circuit of the light back to the main ground of the 7-way harness.
