Question:
I had a Curt flat 4 pin trailer wire harness installed on my 2018 Jeep renegade approx 5 years ago and it has worked fine till about 2 weeks ago. Now checking the pins I have 12 Vdc on both green and yellow wires all the time even without vehicle on and the and the brown only has 12vdc when lights are on on the Jeep. What could be the problem

Based on what you are describing it sounds like the issue with your # C56274 is the ground. A weak or bad ground is often the cause when some functions maintain power while others operate normally. Make sure it is secure on a clean, bare metal surface and damage free.
If you check and secure the ground and that does not fix the issue I would go ahead and check for a short. If the 12V power from the battery is contacting the other wires or the frame it could also cause this problem. If everything else checks out it is likely a bad converter and the wiring harness will need to be replaced.
