I recently bought a 2015 chevy 2500 that has a set of airbag spring helpers, but i dont have any instructions. How do you determine how much air to put in them?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The psi range for a set of air bags can be anywhere from 5 - 150 psi, it all depends on the air bags themselves. The most popular and common are from Firestone, the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2613 for standard duty which are 7" diameter and have a 5 - 100 psi range or the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Air Helper Springs part # F2709 for heavy duty which are 8" diameter and have a 5 - 150 psi range. The minimum is 5 psi which is to prevent deformity but anywhere between this and the max you can use to level your truck. The best setting is the one that puts you level while still maintaining decent ride quality so it varies by application. That said, it's very unlikely you go over 100 psi.
