Question:
I recently purchased a 1993 8foot Cascade slide in truck camper. It is equipped with its own battery. My question is: How do I charge that battery off my truck while driving ? The camper has a 7 way RV plug just under the overhead portion. Also. the camper doest have its own taillights.

If you want to charge the house battery of your truck bed camper while driving then you'll want to use a charger like the Redarc BCDC Battery Charger # RED96FR. This charger will wire the two batteries together to charge your house battery and has an isolator so that when the truck isn't running it won't drain the truck battery. It can has a port to connect to solar panels if you ever decide to mount some on the roof of the camper.
You'll need to pick up a couple of fuses ( # RED76FR or # RED86FR) to go between the batteries and the charger as well. I've attached a short video below where Clayton will walk you through the installation process.
