Recommended Flat Towing Set Up for a 2023 Ford Ranger Tremor

It is necessary to have a supplemental braking system installed in your towed vehicle. It is a law in most states in the USA and providences in Canada and if you are traveling through any of them you have to have one.

I recommend the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 which is designed to work with RV's that have standard hydraulic brakes like your Sunseeker. This system is permanently installed and once set up will be easy to use. If you are planning on keeping your truck for a few years or longer then you will want a permanent system over a portable one. Once it's set up you don't have to do anything other than turn the system on.

High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter.
