Question:

Hi just bought a Highlander LE and looking to put a cargo basket on it. What kind of cross bars do you sell that you would recommend that would hold a basket and fit a 2023 Highlander LE? Also any thoughts on a towing package? What kind would work, cost and can I buy from you and have someone else install it? wondering what would be cheaper to do. Buy from the shop that will install it, or order the towing package from you and just pay them the labor to install it Thanks!

For your 2023 Toyota Highlander LE I recommend checking out the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711520 with the Evo Clamp Feet for Thule Crossbars # TH710501, and the Fit Kit for Thule Evo Clamp and Edge Clamp Roof Rack Feet # TH98ZE for a set of crossbars.

These crossbars measure 60" long x 3-1/8" wide x 1" tall, has a maximum weight capacity of 220-lbs, and due to it's aero design it will dramatically reduce wind noise while helping maintain fuel efficiency.

These bars will also work great with a cargo basket like the Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket # TH859XT. This cargo basket measures 49" long x 40" wide x 6" tall, has a maximum capacity of 150-lbs, and weighs approximately 29-lbs.

Since you're interested in a towing setup as well, I think it's a great idea if you want to expand on the capabilities of your Toyota and really get the most out of your vehicle.

If your Highlander already has a hitch you have the towing package and you'll just need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # TK74FR.

If your vehicle does not have a hitch you'll need to add one with the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish # e75ZR, and you'll then need to use the Curt Upgraded Circuit Protected Powered Tail Light Converter w Hardwire Kit and Tester - 4-Pole Flat # C59496 for your wiring harness.

This hitch has plenty of capacity at 5,000-lbs GTW and a tongue weight capacity of 500-lbs so you'll be pretty much set to fully use your Highlander.
