Will the Thule Hullavator Work with Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars

Question:

Instructions only show Aeroblade install. Do you have to cut the split rubber strip on top of the Wingbar Evo too or is it okay to just slide the bolts and nuts down the strip and tighten like any other accessory? That’s what I did. Cutting the strip defeats the purpose of the split strip design, but Hullavator seems a little wobbly with the strip under the bracket. Thanks!

Yes, the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier part # TH898 will work with the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars. These are just an updated version of the Thule AeroBlade Crossbars. The Hullavator can be attached to the WingBar in one of two ways, with wrap-around clamps or with a t-bolt. If you are using the t-bolt you don't need to cut any of the rubber inside the channel on the WingBar. The rubber is split so you just slide the t-bolt into place and tighten.

If you don't think the tracks are secure enough to hold the Hullavator you can use the wrap-around clamps instead. Otherwise, I would try to re-position the t-bolt and check the toque of the nut.
