Can the Gen-Y Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box Be Used in a Short Bed Ram 3500

Question:

Looking at a Gen Y GH8045AL. Can you tell me if there are any clearance issues between truck and trailer when making turns? I have a 2018 Ram 3500 Crew Cab with a short bed.

The Gen-Y Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box part # GY58GR is primarily designed for long bed trucks. It's no different than a standard fifth wheel pin box in regards to the size. If you were using a fixed hitch and standard pin box before with your truck then you likely wouldn't have any issues switching to this adapter but if you were using a sliding fifth wheel hitch and standard pin before then this adapter wouldn't eliminate the needed for the slider hitch.

Unfortunately, it isn't possible for us to inform of turning clearance as it would vary by truck and trailer so the only way to know for sure if you have clearance would involve meaning. I have attached a photo below with dimensions of the adapter.
