Item # 325-GH-8045 works on a flatbed truck with a recessed ball as long as the opening around the ball is large enough that the pin can be put in once connected. The goose neck end is 3-1/2" x 3-1/4" so as long as you have at least 5" of clearance around the ball you will be good.
