Does the Curt Hitch for a 2023 Honda CR-V Work with Hands Free Liftgate Feature

Question:

Does the Curt trailer hitch fit a new 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring with the automated tailgate lift/sensor? Are there any special instructions or tools needed to install the hitch on this car? I believe its a single exhaust and not sure if its mounted differently.

In regards to using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13397 on a 2023 Honda CR-V, you may still be able to use the hands free life gate feature but you would be limited to areas away from the receiver. That said, if you are unhappy with the operation of the handsfree life gate feature once the hitch is installed you can obtain a relocation bracket from the dealer. I would also like to point out that any hitch for this vehicle is going to pose the same issue, there isn't one that works better with the hands free life gate feature than another. The Curt hitch offers a bolt-on install and has a hidden design so only the receiver will be shown.

I have attached a list of bike racks below if that is what you'll be using the hitch for such as the Thule Hitching Post Pro part # TH934XTR which is what I recommend.
