Question:
My fifth wheel has a 14000 lb gvwr will the 16k be enough hitch for this or is it to close to the max gvwr of my fifth wheel . trying to decide between a 16k and 18k hitch

Expert Reply:
A 16k fifth wheel hitch would easily have enough capacity for a trailer that would weigh at it's most 14k. Going with an 18k hitch would have no drawbacks but the extra capacity just wouldn't be needed. So if you wanted to use the 16k Patriot hitch part # BWRVK3200 instead of the 18k part # BWRVK3255 you could. The rail kit you would need either way is the part # BWRVK2600.
