Question:

two questions: if I install the tire sensors on a boat trailer,... will their submersion underwater while loading and unloading the boat affect their function? I have two tandem axle trailers 4 tires each Can I purchase the sensors for a second tandem trailer or would I have to purchase two separate 4 tire sensor kits?

The Tuson Towable Tire Pressure Monitoring System # 335TPMS4WIVS positions the tire sensors inside the tire so they will stay dry and can be used on your boat trailer.

This system is capable of storing 3 different setups with up to 10 sensors per selection. As the system comes with 4 sensors already you will need 4 Valve Stems # 335TPMS-IVS and 4 Sensors # 335TPMS-SENS for your second vehicle. The instructions are linked below which will cover how to pair the sensors for each trailer. You will want to mount the repeater near the rear of your tow vehicle since you will likely not have a battery on your boat trailer.
