How Does Optronics Clearance Light MC58RB Mount and Ground
Published 01/17/2023 >
Question:
Hello, I need to replace some surface mount marker lights on my stock trailer. The current ones are 2.5 surface mount with the grounding occurring with the rivets that connect it to the trailer. I am looking at these, but I cant tell the mounting mechanism or the grounding mechanism. Can you clarify for me? I need two red and two amber. Kind regards,

Expert Reply:
To mount the Optronics clearance light part # MC58RB you'll remove the lens of the assembly and run the hardware through the holes in the back of the assembly. This grounds through the mounting hardware as well. So you run power to the black wire and then once mounted it is grounded.
