Need hand winch to raise/lower platform. Will use rated turnbuckles for static load support. Need worm gear hand winch that mounts on wall and has power input fitting facing floor. Models DL10950 and DL10954 appear to be ceiling mounts with power input fitting facing floor. Please advise. Where are these winches manufactured?

Thanks for reaching out!
Both the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winches # DL10950 and # DL10954 are made in the USA and rated for 1,500 lbs so it really boils down to whether you want option with the handle, part # DL10950, or the design that comes with the looped end, part # DL10954.
Aside from that these are essentially the same winch and will work great for lifting 500 lbs.
