Can 4,000 lb PowerBuilt Unijack be Used with 5,000 lb Trailer

Question:
I want to purchase a UniJack, either Item # ALL620471 or Item # ALL620470. The application is a 5000 lbs dual axel travel trailer. Is the 2-ton adequate? I prefer the 3-ton but am concerned about the height of the 3-ton jack not clearing the axles which have just under 10 inches of clearance. thanks

Expert Reply:
Since the bottle jack would only be lifting up one side of the trailer you could use the lower 4k rated Powerbuilt Bottle Jack part # ALL620470 with a 5k weight trailer.
