There are no screws holding the lense in. It appears to pop out off but I don’t want to break the lens trying. Again there are no screw holding it on

The Replacement Stop/Tail Red Lens for Peterson Incandescent Square Combination Tail Lights # 440-15R you mention should be secured to the light housing with 4 screws.
since you're staring that there are no screws holding the lens into the housing, I suggest taking a flat head screwdriver like what's included in the kit # PT32VR to gently pry each corner up.
I recommend starting on the upper right hand side and work your way clockwise, gently prying up.
If you're still unable to free the lens, don't hesitate to come back and we can try other options.
