Question:
Can I use the quick connect that is outside my trailer for connecting a BBQ that already goes to my 20 lb tanks on the trailer or does this need to have a direct connection to a dedicated tank? I cant seem to find any installs that utilize the connections/tanks already on a trailer, they all have a dedicated tank with hose. Thanks.

This is not a simple yes or no answer because it really depends on your grill and whether the grill has a regulator or not. I have attached a help article that goes over how and where to connect a RV propane grill.
The propane coming from your quick connect on your trailer is going to be regulated, so if your grill does not have a regulator then it would be ok to connect your grill to the quick connect. You would need a quick connect hose with a fitting that matches what you need for your grill. The MB Sturgis Propane Adapter Hose # 100476-120-MBS has a quick connect fitting on one end and a male disposable port on the other (commonly found on grills). But you will want to be sure you get the correct fitting your grill needs.
If your grill does have a regulator then you would need unregulated propane, which is what you would get connecting directly to a tank or using a t-fitting ( # 103606 ) placed before the regulator in your RV's propane system.
