Question:
Will this part work with the #84 E-Z Lube Spindle w/ Brake Flange for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles ? are the hubs sold in sets or as singles ?

Expert Reply:
It does! The #84 spindle and Dexter idler hub you asked about with a 5 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern absolutely work together. The hub uses the same bearings and grease seal that fit the spindle, which is why they are compatible. The two part numbers are the following:
- Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 3,500-lb E-Z Lube Axles - 5 on 5-1/2 # 84555UC1-EZ
- #84 E-Z Lube Spindle w/ Brake Flange for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles # TRU77FR
As for the hubs, they are sold individually, so you will need to order a quantity of two for one trailer axle.
