Are 1 or 2 Sets Tire Chains Needed for 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4WD Plus Tire Chain Recommendation

Would you recommend getting 2 sets for a 4wd vehicle or would 2 be more than enough? Jeep Grand Cherokee 2013 4wd

With 4WD vehicles, one set is usually plenty and are placed on the rear tires, however, if you live in a region with a lot of snow and ice, adding the second set will assist with better steering and braking.

Without knowing what size tires you have on your 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee, my research shows you could have either 245/70R17, 265/60R18 or 265/50R20. The Glacier V-Bar chain # PWH2828SC that you referenced does not fit any of the aforementioned possible tire sizes.

If you have either the 245/70R17 or 265/50R20 tires and want the V-Bar type, then the Glacier V-Bar # PWH3810SC is the correct chain. If the V-bar design is not a determining factor then the Glacier # PWH3227SC which is a twist link chain will fit all three of the tire options on your Cherokee.

Both of these chain recommendations have cam side tighteners and are for on road use only.

Please check your owners manual for their tire chain recommendations or prohibitions regarding the use of tire chains.

I have linked a helpful FAQ article covering tire chains.
