Question:
Recently purchased the above handrail - installed easily was exactly what we wanted but then realized it would not work when we put up stairs - didnt realize it needed a 33inch clearance. Is there any other type of additional handrail that would not need that big of clearance inside?

I took a look and all of the MORryde handrail steps like the Handrail for First Generation 3-Step MORryde Steps # MR93RR that you have all require 33" of clearance inside your camper.
I went ahead and checked out some other alternatives that you may be interested in, however they are a bit different than # MR93RR .
Check out the:
-Stromberg Carlson Folding Handrail for RVs - Stainless Steel # AC-530.
This handrail will mount next to your door on your trailer, measures 24" wide x 38" tall, has a maximum weight capacity of 200-lbs, and can be folded against the wall of your trailer when not in use so that it's out of the way.
I have attached a product review video for you to check out as well.
