The Curt Specialty Trailer Hitch # E-3S that you referenced is a universal hitch that could work on your 2008 Nissan Titan if you compare the measurements in the pic I attached to the step bumper of your vehicle.
I believe I have a better option though, a custom fit hitch specifically designed for you vehicle would give you more capacity and I can guarantee will work. Check out the Curt Hitch # 13199. This hitch installs by attaching to the frame of your vehicle instead of the bumper which would provide a stronger install that would not require any modifications. I attached an install video for this hitch as well.
