Question:

Hello, I am in need of replacing my Atwood 6gl Water Heater model gh6-6e propane only with the same size, direct fit. What is recommended as a replacement for this model. I have no power connection close by so it has to be propane as the existing water heater. Thank you!.

For your application I recommend using a Furrion 60,000 Btu Tankless Water Heater. These run on gas (there are some electrical connections for the thermostat) and come with a few different door sizes to match up to different applications:

16" x 16" Door - # FR98SR
16" x 18" Door - # FR48SR
18" x 18" Door - # FR68SR

The actual water heater measures 12-5/8" wide x 12-5/8" tall x 19-1/4" deep so if that varies slightly from what you have you'll need to make adjustments to the water heater space. The Atwood line of water heaters were picked up by Dometic a few years ago but the older water heaters have been phasing out to the new tankless design from a handful of manufacturers so this option from Furrion is your best scenario.
