Question:
1998 tandem axle Eagle boat trailer for 1998 22’ boat. At first glance I cannot tell what kind of brakes it has. Seems to be a reservoir cap but it’s pretty small and electrical connector is 4 pin. Any idea of what I type it might be?

It sounds like you have coupler like the Dexter Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator # T43397007K and hydraulic surge brakes on your 1998 Eagle boat trailer. This particular coupler is specific to drum brakes but there are similar units for disc brakes Item # T47457007K.
The 4-Way Wiring # HM48138 on your trailer will only control the lighting for the tail lights and running lights on the trailer.
If you are needing replacement parts please send me images of what you have on your trailer along with any measurements or part numbers stamped on brake parts.
