After installation, is there any maintenance to the valve that needs to be done in years to come?

Expert Reply:
The Valterra EZ Valve Electric Waste Valve for RV Black Water Tank item # E40B-8 may benefit from being installed up in your enclosed underbelly with the Valterra ABS Solvent Cement item # A05-0303 to help prevent the sewer pipes from freezing if you camp when the weather is cold. This will also protect the valve from damage caused by road debris while you are driving. Other than that there are no suggested routine maintenance schedules to follow. You will definitely want to keep the motor dry.
This kit comes with a 3" hub x 3" hub and 8' of wire for your switch location.
