To carry lumber and tools with your 2023 Ford Ranger you are going to want the Thule TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack item # TH27000XTB. This fits both the 5 foot beds and 6 foot beds.
This ladder rack system has a no drill installation and a 800 lbs capacity. The slotted crossbars accept a wide variety of accessories and the system includes four aluminum load stops. These heavy-duty load stops will allow you to safely secure all of your lumber and tools when headed to the jobsite.
