We do have a 5-way flat plug in connector kit and that is the Tow-Ready # 119177KIT. This kit will be a complete hard wire installation, and the kit includes a circuit tester, an in-line fuse, and wiring connectors.

To install the Tow Ready # 119177KIT, you will have to connect to the vehicle wiring behind the taillights the following functions: Taillights, left turn , right turn, stop (brake), and reverse wire, and ground the converter box using the supplied wiring connectors. You will then need to disconnect the vehicle battery, and install the supplied in-line fuse to the positive terminal of the battery. Using an additional length of wire that is 12 gauge or larger (not supplied), connect to the red wire on the converter box.

There is also another option for you, and that would be to install one of the plug in applications like the Tow Ready # 118473, then use the Tow-Ready # 20036 4-flat to 5-flat adapter kit. For this application you would install the # 118473 by accessing the rear side of the taillights on your 2006 Hyundai Santa F, and routing the 4-flat to the trailer connection point. Then you would install the # 20036 Adapter and connect to the reverse lights, behind the taillights on your vehicle. This would be a less invasive process and would still provide a 5-flat vehicle connection point for your 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe.

Both of these options would supply a 5-flat vehicle connection point that will work with your trailer that is equipped with surge brakes. The blue wire on the connector will be triggered by the vehicle reverse wiring and will override the surge brake coupler on your trailer, so that you can back the trailer up without activating the surge brakes.
