Can The Excel RV Tankless Water Heater Be Installed Outside
Updated 11/14/2022 | Published 11/12/2022 >
Question:
My water heater is mounted vertically on the outside of my RV. The copper coils are facing up. They are exposed to rain and dust, etc. because there is no cover provided with unit. Is this normal for the coils to be exposed like that or should I purchase a cover? I do not have the owners manual so I dont really know what the model is. The number I do know is ATM 202 106 1141. Thank you. Help please.

The Excel RV Tankless Water Heater # EX93FR was not meant to be installed on the outside of a trailer so exposing it to the elements will definitely cause damage to the internal components of the unit so I highly recommend moving it inside of your RV.
This unit is really small so it makes it super easy to install, it just requires 3" of clearance on the sides and 8" of clearance above. The manufacturer also recommends not installing it in a bathroom or bedroom.
