Yes, when installing The Curt Trailer Hitch # C15005 onto your 2021 Ram 1500 you will have to remove the factory hitch that you currently now have for the new hitch to fit. This hitch will replace the factory hitch and the bumper beam, given why the factory hitch has to be removed.
The trailer hitch has a maximum gross trailer weight up to 15,000 pounds and has a maximum tongue weight up to 1,700 pounds. I would recommend checking your vehicle's manual to find out the proper towing capacity of your vehicle.
Depending on what you're using the hitch for please reach back out to me and I will be able to recommend a trailer wiring harness, a bike rack, or a cargo carrier to expand your towing experience. If you have any questions please reach back out as well and I will be more than happy to assist.
