Question:

Can i flat tow 2022 Tacoma 2 wheel drive with driveling disconnect. also do i need to keep the battery charged to keep the ignition on for the steering wheel to stay unlocked

You would need to disconnect the driveshaft and find a lube pump for the transmission to avoid damage to the drive train when towing your Tacoma. Toyota does not approve of flat towing so there is a bit of risk involved here as you would be assuming full liability in the event your vehicle is damaged.

We always recommend getting a charge line kit like # RM-156-25 to prevent any issues from arising when towing your vehicle. You would want to follow the steps listed under the emergency towing section of your owner's manual to get your vehicle prepared for towing.
