Does a Boat Trailer with Electric Brakes Need to be Unplugged Before Launching Into Water

Dumb question but do u have to unplug Electric breaks on a boat trailer or can/do they have a inline fuse of some kind ?

Yes, you'll need to unplug the trailer connector prior to launching the trailer into water. This is the case for both trailers without or with electric brakes like the Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # AKEBRK-35-SA. It ensure you don't get water in the taillight housings as well as preventing any shorts or corrosion. There is an in-line fuse on the vehicle for the electric trailer brakes but they do still need to be unplugged.
