Why isnt the Rotoflex pinbox compatible with the E-series hitches?

I spoke with Curt, and they actually say that you CAN use the Curt E-Series hitches, like the Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R16 Roller - Slide Bar Jaw # 16516 with the Curt Rota-Flex 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC176440.

They expressed that the only hitches they do not recommend to be used with the Rota-Flex are the Q-Series hitches.

Why isn't the rota flex compatible with the Q series hitches? And is it just the Q25 hitch with R24 slider? Or all Q series hitches?

@Randy The Rota Flex is not compatible with the Q-Series hitch because the pivoting system in the pin box and the hitch head work against each other which can lead to the head failing. So it's going to be incompatible with all Q-series hitches.

@BryceD I see. Do you know what Curt pinbox would be compatible with the Q25 hitch? Is the Gen Y executive pinbox compatible?

@Randy Yes the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel Pin Box # GY46FR is compatible with the Curt Q25.
