Question:
How much does this hitch weigh?
asked by: CORY B
Expert Reply:
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11028 for your 2014 Mazda MX-5 Miata weighs 26lbs. Curt recommends using the Ball Mount # C45521 in the rise position with either a 1-7/8" # C40001 or 2" # C40018 ball to match your trailer coupler if you intend to pull a small trailer. You will also need a Hitch Pin & Clip # F-4 to secure the ball mount in the receiver.
The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # 56082 will provide you a 4-way flat connector that most small trailers will require to operate the trailer lights. This connector can also be used with Auxiliary Lights # C53201 if you have a hitch mounted accessory such as a bike rack that will impair the view of your tail lights.
