I do have an option for you and this is a common question but the trailer coupler repairs kits aren't universal and only a very few available for select trailer couplers. Therefore, if you're having issue with your existing coupler it will need to be replaced for which I recommend the Curt QuickPin No Latch A-Frame Trailer Coupler part # C84DR. This is a bolt-on coupler so all you need to do is cut the old one off and drill/bolt the new one in place, no welding required. It also uses a unique latching system which is very easy to use. The coupler has a 2-5/16" hitch ball with 14,000 lb rating.
