Why Does The Custom Third Brake Light Camera For A 2016 Ford F-350 Only Work In Reverse?

Question:
The product description says it only functions while in reverse. Wouldnt that depend on how its wired, i.e. where the power supply is coming from? Please elaborate.

Usually that is the case, however the Custom Third Brake Light Camera for Aftermarket Monitor # 3460007 is designed to be installed into the factory screen in your 2016 Ford F-350 via RCA connectors, and in turn would only send power to the camera while in reverse.
