Question:

How do you recommend installing this charger to charge a breakaway battery and an on-board battery on a trailer? The breakaway is located in the gooseneck area and the on-board is underneath the trailer deck.

In order to charge both your breakaway battery and the trailer battery you will need 2 of the # BRW54FR. These batteries cannot be wired together since they will have different amp hour ratings. This means it is not possible to use the single panel to charge them both at the same time. If you want to stick with a single panel you would have to unhook it from one battery and attach it to the other as needed.
