Question:

Hello, Im looking to get a bike rack for my 2000 Honda CRV. I would only need to attach one bike to it. Im a student on a budget so Im looking for a good balance between price and durability/quality. My vehicle has a rear spare wheel attached to the trunk so the rack would have to be compatible with that. It would also need to be removable in case I need to access the spare. Thank you. Peace,

We do offer bike racks that work for your 2000 Honda CR-V. These racks mount to the spare tire, and would be the least expensive choice when choosing a bike carrier. I have attached a link to our product page for spare tire mounted bike racks for your 2000 Honda CR-V.

I would recommend the Hollywood Racks SR1 2-Bike Carrier, part # HRSR1. Since your photo shows the spare tire is off center, this rack may be a good choice. You can adjust the arm support bar so that the bike is mounted more in the center of the back of the vehicle. The rack slips over the spare tire and is secured in place with straps. To gain access to the spare tire, you will need to loosen the straps and remove the rack from the spare. The spare tire must not be wider than 15 inches for this rack to fit.
