Is Relay Harness Needed for Trailer Lights on 2007 Nissan Frontier
Published 08/24/2022 >
Question:
Hi, I have the 4 pin connector that plugs in to the factory harness. Turn and brake lights work, but no tail lights. Any ideas? As a follow up, I see that the more advanced harnesses include a relay kit- what is the purpose of the relay kit? Thanks,

Expert Reply:
If a 2007 Nissan Frontier doesn't have the factory tow package then it'll need a relay harness and relays that install behind the passenger side kick panel to activate the tail light circuits such as those that come with the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C56225. If you are having issues with certain circuits then checking for the relay harness and relays would be the first step.
