Item # 277-000161 Does this self regulate with a built in thermostat, or is always on when it has power?

Expert Reply:
The ThermaHeat RV Dump Valve Pipe and Elbow Heating Pad # 277-000161 will need to be wired to a switch like the Universal-Design Rocker Switch # PK34310 to be turned on and off. The ThermaHeat RV Dump Valve Pipe and Elbow Heating Pad # 277-000161 will constantly be on when the switch is turned on, it does not have a built-in thermostat to turn it off.
We do have the ThermaHeat RV Holding Tank or Step Heater Pad w/ Thermostat # 277-000164 available, which does have a built-in thermostat.
