Trying to find out if the wiring harness for the 2021 and 2022 are the same.

The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C99KR that fits a 2021 Hyundai Kona will not fit the 2022 model. As of right now you'll need a universal-type wiring harness for the 2022 model. I recommend picking up either the Kit # C59496 which splices into your wiring or the Tekonsha ZCI Wiring Kit # 119250KIT which uses a specialized connector that prevents splicing into the factory wiring on your Kona.
Both kits come with a power lead that runs to the battery on your Kona so the trailer lights won't be pulling from your OEM wiring circuits.
