Question:

Hello, SInce the bumper beam is removed and replaced with the ECO hitch, is there an issue with Subaru / Insurance if the car is rear - ended and they state the damage was due to removing OEM safety items from the rear bumper. Why does this product not advertise anything about this? The other hitches keep the OEM bumper bar.

The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver part # EH34FR which is a fit for a 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon will replace the factory bumper beam and the crosstube of the hitch will actually act as the bumper beam in the event of an accident. I can't say whether it would void the warranty in the even of an accident but this is not something we've heard of being an issue before. If you're concerned there is always the other options which retain the factory bumper beam such as the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e25TR which I have attached an install video I did on below.
