Is the plunger pot metal or steel? Trying to replace broken lock that was pot metal. Dont want to order and experience the same issue again.

If you have a Trimark entry door lock then I understand your frustration. The Global Link locks like # 295-000019 and Bauer locks like # BA64FR are all made with pot metal but haven't had the same poor quality pot metal that Trimark was using. I've spoken with both companies and their techs have stated that they haven't had anyone facing this issue.
