Solution for Hitch that Rattles Against Trailer Hitch After Install
Published 07/29/2022 >
Question:
Hello. Recently installed one of your hitches on my 2007 Ford Focus hatchback 2 door. Install was easy, but the factory exhaust vibrates against the hitch from time to time and at idle. What do you recommend to fix this? Thanks

Expert Reply:
Hitch rattle sometimes occurs after a hitch install as the exhaust ends up routed to close to the hitch and since exhaust has quite a bit of movement it can end up hitting it. What I would recommend you try is finding the exhaust hangers that the isolators mount on and bend them away from the hitch a bit so that you get a little more clearance.
