Question:
How do you take air out of the bags? Is it similar to a valve stem with a needle inside to release air? Also how do you know how much air pressure you are putting into the bags or taking out?

Expert Reply:
To take air out of the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs # F2709 on your 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 it is the same process as with valve stems on a tire. I recommend using the Bulldog Winch Tire Inflator with Air Pressure Gauge # BDW28SV when inflating and checking he air pressure. This has a relief valve that will allow you to slowly drain the pressure without removing the gauge. The air springs have a maximum air pressure rating of 150psi and require a minimum pressure of 5psi to prevent damage to the springs.
You can add the Firestone Air Command I # F2097 to your Silverado to allow you to make changes to the air pressure from your cab. The on board compressor is capable of up to 150psi to match the maximum air pressure for the air bags.
