I need to replace the tires on a 1973 26 foot Airstream Argosy. The original tires were replaced by the previous owners. The tires currently on the trailer are ST 205/90D15. The GVWR is 6200. I have read that the recommended replacement tire is an ST225/75-15, # TR225LRE. Is this tire an appropriate replacement? Please advise.

The Provider ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire # TR225LRE is going to be the closet replacement size for the 7.00-15" tires that came on your 1973 Airstream Argosy 26D trailer. These are a Load Range E tire while you only need a D range Tire # TTWTRTM2257515D for the weight rating you your Airstream. You will want to ensure that your wheel is 6-7" in width for these tires to fit as they are slightly wider at 8.78" versus the original tires that were only 8" wide. Be sure to also verify that there will not be any clearance issues for the wider tire.
